    Fred Daniels

Fred Daniels didn't discover music until his junior year at Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA, where he saw a girl playing Puff the Magic Dragon at an assembly and thought “Gee - I'd like to do that!.” He started taking lessons at Arlington Music - and a year later he was teaching there with people like Ben Eldridge among others.

Going off to college at William & Mary he started (with Craig Cornwell, Chris Walters and others) the band Rockin Horse.  It quickly became THE college band and had a great time playing all the frat parties and bars around Williamsburg.

Upon leaving Willam & Mary 4 years later he came back to the DC area (today's DMV) and hooked up with Sunrise, a band of stellar musicians (Ray Lombardo, Dale Carrigan and others). With Fred they veered away from their very successful Top-40 format and took off playing Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Billy Cogham, Larry Coryell and the 11th House, etc.  the musicians in the area were WOWed - the club owners weren't - Sunrise eventually disbanded andFred learned the importance of playing the gig.

Fred then caught on with a show band - the George Chapin Show - and they they travelled extensively up and down the East Coast.

Getting married and not wanting to travel so extensively, Fred embarked on a one man solo career. He built a recording studio in his basement, and with an 8 track (not those!) Tascam 80-8 started making what today are known as tracks. This being in the mid-70s before programming an click tracks, Fred played and recorded the actual drums, guitars, bass, keyboards, synths and 3 part background vocals and mixed them down to live performance specs.  He built the PA speakers and double high speed (3 ¾ - whee !) cassettes decks (remember them?) into a live performance that was a whole band _ but just him!

He played until fatherhood called and he stopped solo playing until now.

He is the creator of the LIMITLESS - a compact super computer specifically engineered and designed for live performance use. It allows the musicians to play the recording studio live and to simultaneously play and switch in real time more than 30 instruments - for the first time giving the musician the opportunity to improvise with sound as well as notes and time - in a practical way,

He is the CEO of IMusic Designs LLC.
